Currently if I select Unknown date - Trakt marks it as watched today. Which isn't great (or else I would select that). The default should be release date.
I believe this is a bug rather than a feature that needs adjusting.
We’ve identified an issue in the Android app related to marking a whole show as watched at unknown or release date and it being incorrectly marked ‘today’. This will be resolved in an upcoming version.
If you’re having issues with Movies or something else, I’d recommend using the Forums (forums.trakt.tv) and please provide some additional reproduction steps, app/operating system versions and device details, and confirm that the issue doesn’t also occur on another client, such as the website (app.trakt.tv) or the iOS app. That would be much appreciated.
